Eddie Stanky's Managerial Contract Extended through 1969

After a successful year in 1966 managing the Chicago White Sox, skipper Eddie Stanky was given a contract extension on September 30, 1966. The contract was approved by the American League on October 28, 1966.  Stanky's new contract ran through 1967, 1968 and 1969.

  1. I always thought that Stankey's small ball approach made for exciting baseball even with a team without home run hitters.
