White Sox Bomb Orioles 13 - 1

May 10, 1967 (n) at Baltimore Orioles Memorial Stadium

Who said Chicago couldn't hit? The White Sox amassed 15 hits and belted 4 home runs hammering the Baltimore Orioles 13 - 1. Scoring in all but 3 innings the Sox put up a 5 spot in the 3rd inning with 6 hits and 3 walks.

Leading the hit barrage with home runs were Tommy McCraw (3), Pete Ward (4), Dick Kenworthy (1) and Tommie Agee (5). Duane Josephson, Don Buford and Agee had 3 hits a piece. Almost lost in the Chisox offense was Tommy John's complete game 6 - hitter, 1 ER (Curt Blefary solo HR), 0 walks and 6 K's. Orioles starter Steve Barber (2-3) took the loss. The White Sox won their 6th game in a row and stand at 14-7.  Chicago's line score:  40 AB   13 R   15 H   11 RBI
