1967 Chicago White Sox

As retirement nears and my goal of becoming a connoisseur of leisure is within my grasp, I plan to upload interesting sports memorabilia pics and stories about baseball heroes of my youth, the 1967 Chicago White Sox . (some focus on earlier years, also).

Some players and coaches to be highlighted: Joel Horlen, Gary Peters, Pete Ward, Eddie Stanky, John Buzhardt, Cisco Carlos, Wayne Causey, Jim O'Toole, Al Weis, Tommy McCraw, Hoyt Wilhelm, Cotton Nash, Don Buford, Steve Jones, and more.

  1. I grew up on the south side of Chicago and I lived and breathed every game on the radio during 1967. Baseball and this team were so important to me personally. I will be following your blog very carefully. I love the photos, cards, and other visuals that you provide.

  2. Whitesoxfan67,
Thanks for your comments. I too, was a focused '67 Chisox fan that year (but from afar in South Carolina). The AL pennant race was unbelievably exciting, and even though the White Sox eventually came up a bit short, the '67 White Sox season has remained a wonderful and positive memory for me, too!
