The 10th straight road game was unkind to the White Sox as the Angels Jim McGlothlin (4-1) shutout Chicago 5 - 0 with a 6 hitter. Sox starter John Buzhardt (2-3) was locked in a scoreless tie after 3 innings, but the Angels managed single runs in the 4th, 5th and 6th innings and Chicago never mounted a serious threat to score. Buzhardt pitched well allowing only 2 earned runs through 4 2/3 while Wilbur Wood and Bob Locker hurled the final innings.
Jimmie Hall led the Angels attack with 3 hits and 2 rbi's. Tommie Agee had 2 hits for the White Sox.
The red headed McGlothin would finish the 1967 season with 6 shutouts, a 2.96 ERA and would pitch in the 1967 Allstar game held in Anaheim. McGlothin finished his career with the Palehose in 1973.
Chicago is 5 - 5 on the long, 12 game road swing.
