Bob Locker (9SV) induced Elston Howard to ground out for the final out to give the Palehose a 3-2 victory and sweep of the twinbill in front of over 62,000 fans.
Gerald McNertney had the big blow of the day with a one out 3 run home run in the 4 inning off Mel Stottlemyre (5-6) scoring Ken Berry and Dick Kenworthy ahead of him.
